Iwas a scientist and University professor in my career, specialized in measurement science and technology in general, and in Metrology of Time and Frequency in particular. In the last ten years after retirement I used my culture and skills towards the development of high precision pendulum oscillators and clocks, and finally found with this a way to merge my science with my artistic inclinations that had been pushing to come out.

I designed and installed this Foucault Pendulum in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, several years ago, in collaboration with a friend who lives and works there as a civil engineer.
Installed as a unique attraction in the garden of a local company, the pendulum has become a source of great pride for its owners. It has now been oscillating uninterrupted for three years, with a period of approximately four seconds.
This remarkable installation is one of only four Foucault Pendulums in the world to have its own dedicated supporting structure, making it a distinctive example of precision engineering, scientific demonstration, and architectural design.

Earthrise is a precision pendulum inspired by the iconic NASA photograph of Earth rising above the Moon’s horizon, captured during the Apollo program.
In Italian, I call this pendulum Superhuman Silence, a name that reflects both its celestial inspiration and the extraordinary precision of its movement.
Like all NH models, Earthrise represents a modern evolution of John Harrison’s historic pendulum clock. It incorporates new patented solutions designed to address the residual limitations of Harrison’s remarkable 18th century invention, bringing a forgotten masterpiece of precision timekeeping into the modern era.
